Trying for another 2 points in HoM. Please assist
So this is me.
http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=m... ABCEAAAAAAAA And I am at 12 and I would like to get to 14, but I have no idea how to get some decent progression here, so I thought I should ask. How hard is it to get a scroll to get to the Underworld and using heroes only get a spider? Can I get any other titles without spending a ridiculous amount of Platinum? I have failed utterly at the last steps of Nightfall and gotten stuck halfway through Facttions, and I doubt I will be pressing through there given the time I can dedicate at any one instance to the game at the moment. What is the best way to go about obtaining a unique undedicated minipet? Any help or insight would be deeply appreciated. |

well, id say if you cant finish nf or factions you wont be able to cap the black widow. you must be using a sub par build to get stuck in factions, have you checked the build threads here, and also gwpvx.com? factions, and nf should take 2 days from start to finish max, and the spider will take <30 mins if you do clearing the chamber and then the vale quest

Well...how much do you think is a ridiculous amount? If ~60k seems like it's worth two points to you, you can buy any one destroyer weapon which will instantly net you those two points. I also don't think working on your honor monument (titles) will do you too much good (well maybe) as you'd need another 3 things to do to get 3 points. If you insist though, as you say you are stuck in the late stages of nf, I'm guessing you mean realm of torment? If so, try lightbringer/sunspear points farming from remains of salahja (go look at wiki) to get two accomplishments in Honor monument, then just complete factions/nf and you get 15 instead of 14. (you can't get just points from honor, the next milestone grants 3 points.)

Have you done War in Kryta yet?
If not, run through it. It's easily soloable with H/H and it nets you enough Medals of Honor to get an Oppressor's Weapon. That alone would give you 2 points just for the one weapon. And you'd net a bunch of cash from it as well. As for your other questions, it's all a matter of work, not money. How much work are you willing to put into it, not how much are you willing to spend. Titles, campaign titles and defender titles are easy. Just do each campaign and get masters. Rep titles, require a bit of grinding. Underworld can be done with H/H to get your Spider, yes. Just take your time and be patient with it. Easiest unique pet? Black Moa. You don't have to sit in town trying to buy one, just do the work for it. Requires all campaigns and a few collector items and a bit of cash, and then you'll have a pet to call your own that you worked for. As I said, it's a matter of how much work and time are you willing to put into it, more than how much you want to spend. Last edited by SpyderArachnid; Sep 12, 2011 at 08:00 AM // 08:00.. |

1. Join a guild that helps players complete the campaigns. You will be able to add several titles to your HOM once you finish factions and NF. (You are welcoming to PM me in game and I'll try to help you do missions IGN: Lady Ariela Iceblue)
2. Go cap elite skills. Once you have finished capping them all you will get another title. 3. In Factions, try to get to Fort Aspenwood. Start PvPing to get Kurzic or Luxon faction. trade in for amber or jade. Get armour. 4. I got my underworld in UW by asking nicely to join a sc team in ToA. Someone was nice enough to run me for free. I brought along BU and honeycombs to help the team out. 5. Buy white cheap 1st, 2nd and 3rd year minis. Get up to 20 minis. |

You need only R4 for Allegiance titles and R3 for Champ/Gladiator. Glad is pretty easy if you play it once in a while, and it gives whopping 3 points. Luxon/Kurzick Armor, then try to get one more for another point for 3 armors in HoM. And of course like someone said, do War in Kryta - easy 2 points.

How are you fixed for getting 4 more heroes or maybe some elite armours.
Necro from Prophesies Assassin from Factions Check out the NF Eye ones you do not have and see if any are reachable. Black Moa from Factions how far off are you from its location or did you stall before getting to that part of the game. Elite armours just get some basic ones that are low in material cost there are some prophesies ones that don't break the bank, is that an option. Finishing the game and all bonuses seem quite an easy task, but you are not very far in all campaigns.
Best advice is already given, join a guild with some experienced players. You can learn so much if you are new from those guys and girls that you don't really need anything else right now. |

As Vanway said, if you can't get past these two places, you're going to fail miserably in the UW by yourself. |

Capping eliteskills is like 90k per chapter. I simply don't have that kind of coin. I don't PvP. Well, I could, but I would lose. Is there a reward for that? Quote:

Now I am a ranger, and I am guessing getting ???non-elite??? skills (apart from faction-rep ones) are easier than getting elite ones (you just have to find the right trainer. I have the following ranger elite skills. Given those ??? can anyone suggest (or link) a build that might be better or more practical for me than whatever sup-optimal one I have now? It would be deeply appreciated. Marksman's Wager Oathshot Barrage Burning Arrow Crippling shot Grenth's Balance Edit: And thanks to Venganza and a speedy UW-run I now have a black little bitey spider! Dawnspear is now in our little guild, and will receive plenty of help which will hopefully not only make the game easier, but more enjoyable. I am glad to help out people, especially those wise enough to reach out on this forum. I would just like to say it is great to see so many of you responding to such cries for help with patience and understanding too, nice to see a little camaraderie still exists long into the life of GW |

If you really want only 2 points, do War in Kryta and get the weapon reward, any of them. That's 2 easy points. You can finish WiK in two afternoons or less.

Make sure you have max armor for your class and all your attribute points (when you zero them out (talking about marksmanship, beast mastery, wilderness survival, etc) you should have 200pts to spend...if not, check here: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Attri...e_point_quests
Generally don't use superior/major runes (except for vigor) until you understand better how health affects your gameplay. Use a longbow (or flatbow, I prefer long though) for pulling. Learn to pull. Before you engage, watch the group you want to kill and any others nearby. Once you're comfortable that you can pull your group without agroing any others, flag your heroes to where you want to fight (at least half the distance of your agro circle between your agro circle and the path of any group you don't want to engage, more if the group you want will pull that far) and then use the longbow to pull them. Armor, health and agro control, especially agro control, really make this game a lot easier. Then, when you run into a problem you can usually figure out what is killing you (hit F10 for help, scroll down and it will show a list of recently encountered skills with links to the official wiki, really helps in figuring out what's killing you and then you can figure out how to stop it.) Once you get those basics down you can start thinking about how to counter melee damage (through debuffs, or blocking) aoe dmg (skills that interrupt or absorb the bulk of the damage) and figure out how to do more and more damage with your own skills and those of your heroes. Read the wiki if a particular mission is giving you a hard time. Vengenza will probably show you most of this (or something like it) in game if he hasn't already. Barrage is good enough and easy enough to understand for a beginner, but it means you can't use preparations. To make up for that, unlock (if you haven't already) Ritualist for your secondary and pick up Splinter Weapon. The rest of your bar can be two interrupts (usually savage shot and distracting shot) condition removal, increased attack speed skill (lightning reflexes) and a couple other damage skills and a hard rez (flesh of my flesh in restoration, works fine with zero points). I generally don't use pets on my ranger, so I can't offer much help there. FYI, try out AB, you're 1 of 12 in three 4 man teams and it's pretty chaotic, so you can make mistakes without hurting the team too much or being noticed as much. You get balthazar and either luxon or kurzick faction and Imperial faction (which can be converted to the other 3 types) which can be traded in for things you can sell for money or for PVE only skills or to unlock skills for your heroes to use. You can fund a lot of stuff playing this or the other PVP types once you get your feet under you. Good luck and have fun. Edit: one more thing: This would normally be good advice, but if you're having trouble finishing NF/Factions and EotN right now, War in Kryta will make you pull out your hair. It gives some experienced players a hard time. I don't think you'll enjoy doing this stuff at this point in your level of game mastery. Last edited by BladeDVD; Sep 13, 2011 at 01:58 AM // 01:58.. |

- Get all heroes and invest some money to get their hero armor
- Get black moa, black widow, and phoenix minipet (that should be really easy!) If you want more: -Start off with making a GWAMM character on your main char. Start with all HM and NM missions, and then start vanquish(alongside with carto). |
